The technical staff at SIERRA^^ has developed proprietary electronic order
entry and status reporting for each carrier. All orders for standard switched services are submitted in an
electronic upload file format with status reports tracked by individual
agent IDs, as are commissions.
SIERRA^^
is currently in the process of developing
a state-of-the-art agent support web
site, which
will initially allow agents to enter orders and receive status
reports on the web anytime and anywhere.
Eventually, this site will be a universal tool for each agent to perform all
aspects of his/her business. The time and cost savings to each agent
from not having to have a full time staff of technical personnel to develop
and maintain such electronic order entry and database tracking will be
considerable.
In addition, by
electronically matching submitted orders to status reports,
SIERRA^^ is able to
proactively spot and resolve many issues with orders before the master agent
is even presented with their status reports.
